This site sets as little as it can get away with. Nothing that tracks you is set until you say yes, and you can change your answer at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

One entry in your browser's local storage, savva_consent_v1, remembers the choice you made about analytics. Without it you would be asked on every page. It contains your answer and the date, nothing else, and it never leaves your browser.

Analytics, only if you accept

If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and _ga_* cookies to count visits and show which pages get read. IP addresses are anonymised. We use it to see which articles are worth writing more of, not to identify you.

Until you accept, Google Consent Mode keeps analytics_storage denied and no cookies are written. Advertising signals stay denied whatever you choose: this site runs no advertising and shares nothing for it.

What we do not set

• No advertising or retargeting cookies.
• No social media tracking pixels.
• No cross-site profiling, and no data sold to anyone.

Changing your mind

Use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to bring the banner back. You can also clear cookies and site data for this site in your browser, which resets everything.
