One-to-one coaching
Accountability and motivation
Accountability and motivation coaching is one-to-one support that helps you stay committed to a goal by breaking it into steps, checking in on progress, and adjusting what does not work. It suits people who know what they want but find that everyday pressures get in the way of following through.
Who this is for
For people who set goals but struggle to follow through when their week is already full.
- Format
- Online, or in person across the Randstad
- Hours
- Monday to Sunday, 08:00 - 22:00 CET
- First step
- A free consultation, no obligation
Setting a goal is the easy part. Following through, in a week that is already full, is the challenge. You know what you want to do. You set the goal, you mean it, and then the week happens. The work tasks stretch, the family needs something, you are tired, and the goal slides. That is not a failure of willpower.
My role as your accountability partner is to help you break the goal into steps that fit your real life, not an ideal life. We meet regularly, one-to-one, in person or online. I check in on what happened since we last spoke. I help you see what worked and what did not. When something does not stick, we adjust the plan instead of blaming you. Momentum comes from returning to the goal, not from willpower alone.
Over time you stop waiting for the perfect week. You learn to make progress in an ordinary week. You keep your commitments realistic and you come back after a missed day without a spiral. The goal becomes a quiet part of how you work, not a source of guilt.
Does this sound familiar?
You might recognise some of this
If more than one of these lands, this is usually the right place to start.
- You start a project with energy but it stalls by Thursday because other tasks took over.
- You set a fitness or career goal and cannot keep it going past the first few weeks.
- You want an accountability partner who checks in without making you feel judged.
- You work from home or alone and miss the external structure an office used to provide.
- You keep promising yourself you will start next week but next week does not happen.
The work
What we work on together
01
Breaking goals down
We turn the big goal into small steps that fit your current week. Each step is something you can actually do, not an ideal plan.
02
Weekly check ins
I check in on what happened since we last spoke. We look at what worked, what did not, and why.
03
Adjusting the plan
When something does not stick, we change the step rather than blame your discipline. Small course corrections keep momentum alive.
04
Building your own system
Over time you learn to set up reminders, routines, and honest reviews for yourself. The goal is that you need me less, not more.

In their words
What people say
I was torn between two job opportunities and felt stuck. Louisa helped me explore my values, priorities, and long-term goals, bringing clarity to the decision. With her guidance, I chose the role that aligns best with my aspirations, making the process far more manageable.
As a Director of Technology, I initially led with a technical, performance-driven style. Louisa’s coaching helped me trust my team, delegate effectively, and foster engagement. By shifting my mindset, I now lead with confidence, balancing strategy and team development, transforming both my leadership and team performance.
Questions about accountability and motivation
Still unsure whether this is the right fit? Ask directly. A short call usually settles it faster than a brochure.
Ask a question- What is accountability and motivation coaching?
- It is one-to-one support to help you follow through on a goal. We break the goal into practical steps, check in on progress, and adjust what does not work. You stay in control of the goal; I provide structure and honest feedback.
- Do you coach online or in person?
- I coach both online worldwide and in person across the Randstad in the Netherlands. Online sessions are in English and run on the same schedule as in person sessions. In person we can meet in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam, The Hague, Haarlem, Leiden, or Almere.
- How is this different from therapy?
- Coaching is focused on your present goals and practical action, not on diagnosing or treating mental health conditions. Therapy often looks at past experiences and emotional healing. Coaching suits people who are generally functioning well but want help staying on track.
- What happens in the free first consultation?
- We talk about the goal you want to work on and what has made it hard to follow through. You can ask me questions about how I work and see if we fit. There is no obligation to continue after that call.
- What qualifications do you have?
- My qualifications include ICF ACC Level 1 and PCC Level 2 certification, an Advanced NLP certification from Richard Bandler, and a Life, Motivational, Social and Emotional Coach certification from INEMLA. I spent 25 years in learning and development and the last 10 years coaching one-to-one. I also have a degree from Bournemouth University and lived the expat experience myself, moving from London to the Netherlands in 2007.
- Do I need to live in the Netherlands?
- No, you can be anywhere in the world for online sessions. In person coaching is available across the Randstad if you are local. Sessions are in English and scheduled between 08:00 and 22:00 CET.
