One-to-one coaching

Work-life balance

Work-life balance coaching helps you see where your time and energy actually go, then make practical changes to protect what matters. It is a one-to-one process focused on boundaries, habits and saying no without guilt, so your working life becomes sustainable rather than merely survivable.

Who this is for

For professionals who feel pulled between work demands and the rest of life, and who want practical boundaries rather than advice to just switch off.

Format
Online, or in person across the Randstad
Hours
Monday to Sunday, 08:00 - 22:00 CET
First step
A free consultation, no obligation

The week starts with good intentions and ends with you answering messages at the kitchen table. You have said yes to one too many things, again, and the boundary you set on Monday is already gone. You are not failing at balance. You are working without a structure that can hold when the pressure comes.

Coaching with me is not about finding perfect equilibrium. We look at where your time and energy actually go, what you are willing to protect, and how to say no without the guilt that usually follows. I will not hand you a set of generic tips. We work on the specific situations that keep pulling you out of shape, from Sunday night dread to the meeting that always overruns.

What changes is not that life stops being busy. It is that you stop treating your own time as the thing that can always be sacrificed. You leave with boundaries you can hold, phrases you can actually say, and habits that survive a heavy week. The aim is a working life that is sustainable rather than merely survivable.

Does this sound familiar?

You might recognise some of this

If more than one of these lands, this is usually the right place to start.

  • You answer work messages after dinner and cannot switch off even when you are home.
  • You feel guilty every time you say no or ask for a deadline to move.
  • Your weekends disappear to catching up on tasks you could not finish during the week.
  • You work from home and the line between your job and your living room has gone.
  • You have tried time management apps but still end most weeks exhausted and behind.

The work

What we work on together

01

Boundaries that hold

We look at where your time and energy actually go, week by week. Then we decide which boundaries are worth protecting and how to keep them when work pushes back.

02

Saying no cleanly

You practise ways to decline or push back without over-explaining or feeling guilty. We work on the exact words you can use in real meetings and messages.

03

Habits for busy weeks

We build routines that survive a full inbox and a double-booked Tuesday. You learn what to protect on calm days so busy days do not undo you.

04

Your energy mapped

We look at what gives you energy and what quietly drains it. Then we adjust your week so the drain does not win by default.

Outcomes

What you leave with

  • A short list of non-negotiable boundaries you can keep under pressure.
  • Clear phrases for saying no without over-explaining or apologising.
  • A weekly structure that protects time for rest and recovery.
  • A way to spot early warning signs before work takes over again.

How it works

Getting started

  1. Free first consultation

We start with a free consultation where we talk about what is pulling you off balance and whether we are a good fit.

  2. Coaching sessions

Sessions run one-to-one in English, in person across the Randstad or online worldwide, between 08:00 and 22:00 CET.

  3. Between sessions

You leave each session with one or two small changes to try before we meet again.

In their words

What people say

I was torn between two job opportunities and felt stuck. Louisa helped me explore my values, priorities, and long-term goals, bringing clarity to the decision. With her guidance, I chose the role that aligns best with my aspirations, making the process far more manageable.
Esther Clarity in career decisions
As a Director of Technology, I initially led with a technical, performance-driven style. Louisa’s coaching helped me trust my team, delegate effectively, and foster engagement. By shifting my mindset, I now lead with confidence, balancing strategy and team development, transforming both my leadership and team performance.

Questions about work-life balance

Still unsure whether this is the right fit? Ask directly. A short call usually settles it faster than a brochure.

Ask a question
Are sessions online or in person?
I coach one-to-one in person across the Randstad, including Amsterdam, Utrecht, Rotterdam, The Hague, Haarlem, Leiden and Almere. I also coach online worldwide, so location does not need to stop us. Sessions are in English.
How is this different from therapy?
Coaching is forward-looking and practical; we focus on your current boundaries, habits and choices rather than treating a mental health condition. If what you are experiencing feels like depression, anxiety or burnout, I will be honest about whether coaching is the right support. You may need a therapist or medical professional first, and I can say so plainly.
What happens in the first consultation?
It is a free conversation, not a sales call. We talk about what is pulling you off balance and what you want to protect. If we are a good fit, I explain how the coaching works and you decide whether to continue.
Do I need to live in the Netherlands?
No. I coach online worldwide, so you can work with me from anywhere. If you are in the Netherlands, you can also meet me in person across the Randstad.
What times are sessions available?
Sessions run from 08:00 to 22:00 CET, Monday to Sunday. Weekends are available by arrangement, which helps if your weeks are already full.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no fixed number because we look at what you actually need. Some people work best with a short, focused series; others prefer slower, ongoing support. We can revisit this together after the first few sessions.
